Character
Name: Jotaro Kujo
Series: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
Timeline: Canon, end of Stone Ocean

Personality: Jotaro Kujo is one of the most iconic JoJo characters though that doesn't mean he is the kindest (that honor goes to Jonathan). When first met, he's a delinquent constantly yelling at others and backtalking authority, never trusting anyone but himself and a small few. He's always very perceptive, but after many encounters with dangerous enemies, he doesn't share his observations aloud, instead trying to devise how to act on it in a way nobody else will catch. However, this approach doesn't work for people.

Nobody ever said Jotaro Kujo was a nice guy, but that doesn't mean he isn't. Sometimes he just struggles with an inability to connect with his emotions and what others close to him think. Tactically, he's unbeatable. He makes quick decisions within the moment even with risks and more often than not, it works out to save him. But nobody can save him from himself and how he shows his emotions. Jotaro has an unforunate tendency to come off as cold, even when that isn't his intention. In JoJo canon, it's stated he doesn't show his emotions because he thinks people can already tell how he feels. Even over the entire comic, and 23 years after we first see him, this doesn't change. He seems to think showing emotions takes up too much time, when words are enough. However, in Stone Ocean, he learns the hard way his distant approach has estranged him from others.

Jotaro eventually has a child who he never really stayed around nor was close with on purpose, due to being a target of interest by a former enemies' followers. Even this fails when Jolyne lands in jail, and he experiences the consequences for distancing himself from Jolyne even for her own sake. Jotaro reappears for the final arcs of Stone Ocean, and he realizes how much he messed up deeply, and starts to show more protection and caring for Jolyne even knowing she can handle herself. He even says before the end that he always cherished her. But it was for naught, because they both died soon after. If Jotaro ever had a chance to come back, just one, he would take the chance to break his ways and right the wrongs of his cold demeanor, and try to give those around him the Jotaro they deserve, not the one they need.

Extra sidenote: Jotaro is a marine biologist and therefore very curious when he encounters new biology, especially aquatic forms.
